A reminder regarding our Replay Policy

No programs replay are guarantied. A replay may be preempted or moved at any time without prior warning for any reason.  However, we do try to honor as many replays as we can and whenever possible instead of canceling a replay we will try and move it to either an earlier or later time slot.  Only when this is not possible will we then delete the replay from the schedule all together.  We also try and assure that all programs get roughly the same amount of replays.

A reminder regarding our Submission Policy

We only accept programs on DVD or in MPEG-2 format. We can not accept anything else. However we are more than happy to help you, in our Mac Lab, to convert whatever format you have into one that is acceptable for submission. If you need a staff member to help you do this, the best way is to come in and fill out a request form for the Mac Lab and on the form put a note that you will be needing the assistance of a staff member. Any of our staff can help you to do this and it does not take very long depending on what you bring us.

Because of the number of producers turning in shows on a weekly basis AOC, Inc will not accept more than 4 programs on file per producer at any one time. If you submit more than 4 we will input the first 4 and turn away the rest. They must then be resubmitted. Please only submit four and keep track of how many have aired and when it is time to submit again. We have hundreds of producers and shows and we can not remember everyone's submission rate for them.

A reminder regarding our Series Violations Policy

A series program can incur a series violation for a number of reasons.  The program may fail to be submitted 16 business hours before its air date and time.  It may fail our technical standards by being overlong for the series time slot or it could have problems with the disc (scratches, dirt, bad data).  Perhaps the cable cast contract submitted with the program was incomplete, etc.

The bottom line is that we did not have a Premiere program to air in your Premiere Series Time Slot.  However, keep in mind that getting a programming violation is not the end of the world and does not mean the end of your series.

Depending on the frequency of your show, you are allowed a specific amount of violations within your series before being in violation of your series agreement.  Weekly programs are allowed three program violations, then on the fourth they are in violation  of their series agreement. Bi-monthly programs are allowed two violations and then on the third are in violation of their series agreement.  Finally, monthly programs are only allowed one violation and then on the second, they are considered in violation of their series agreement.

If you have an up to date email address on file with us, or if you provide one on the cable cast contract submitted with your show, then if you receive a violation for any reason we will send you a notification through the email address you have provided.  This notice is simply a courtesy to inform you that your program did not premiere for whatever reason and also to inform you of the number of violations your program has against it this season.

Finally, even if you do get too many violations and lose your series, you still have plenty of options.  If you lose your series then you lose all rights to your time slot for that season and must sit out the next season.  However, sitting out does not mean not submitting  programming.  We highly encourage  you to continue to submit programming.  It is highly unlikely that if you lose your time slot someone else is going to jump in there right away.  As long as you continue to be consistent with your submissions and request the same time slot, you will most likely get what you request.  Losing your series does not mean that you will not be allowed to air your premiere program and still get replays with it. So please, if you find yourself getting a violation, do not panic. AOC is not turning you away, we will always encourage your programming whether you have a series or not.
