Plan Lafayette Week Coming

Save the Date! Plan Lafayette Week to be held August 21-26

During the week of August 21-26, Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) will once again host “PlanLafayette Week.” 2017 marks the third year for the week-long series of events focused on Lafayette’s Comprehensive Plan, which has been in effect since 2014.

This year, LCG is partnering with several community institutions to host activities around the plan’s four big themes: Refine Government, Revitalize Neighborhoods, Reenvision Natural Resources, and Reinvent the Hub City.  Details of those events will be announced over the next several days.

“The event schedule is a good combination of things we have achieved and things still on the horizon. We want to ensure that the community understands that our plan is not on a shelf—we are actively working on many of the action items, and it’s our job to make sure the community understands that. Events like this make that possible,” said Carlee Alm-LaBar, Director of Planning, Zoning, and Development in a statement.

All events will be free of charge, but registration will be required to ensure adequate space. All events will be posted on Facebook

The first PlanLafayette Week was held in 2014 and originally conceived to introduce Lafayette to the ideas and action items recommended in the draft comprehensive plan. Since the plan’s adoption, it has become an event series where plan successes are celebrated and new initiatives are launched.
