“The event schedule is a good combination of things we have achieved and things still on the horizon. We want to ensure that the community understands that our plan is not on a shelf—we are actively working on many of the action items, and it’s our job to make sure the community understands that. Events like this make that possible,” said Carlee Alm-LaBar, Director of Planning, Zoning, and Development in a statement.

The first PlanLafayette Week, held in 2014, was originally conceived to introduce Lafayette to the ideas and action items recommended in the draft comprehensive plan. Since the plan’s adoption, it has become an event series where plan successes are celebrated and new initiatives are launched.
