Louisiana Foundation for Cancer Care
Survivors under the Stars, will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Paul and Lulu Hilliard Museum in Lafayette. We welcome breast cancer survivors, family, friends and health care providers to attend this night of celebration. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a lovely reception, followed by our keynote speaker, Julie Larson LCSW. This is the 4th year that we have invited Julie to Lafayette to speak on important topics concerning cancer survivorship. The evening will end with the lighting of the luminaries to honor /celebrate breast cancer survivors in Acadiana.
All funds raised will go to the Louisiana Foundation for Cancer Care to provide support, assistance, and educational programs to cancer patients, families, medical professionals and community which promote quality of life.

Louisiana Foundation for Cancer Care Mission Statement and
History of Assisting Cancer Patients in Acadiana
Our nonprofit mission is to provide support, assistance, and educational
programs to cancer patients, families, medical professionals and
community to promote healthy cancer survivorship.
The foundation assists cancer patients overcome obstacles that can
hinder access to cancer treatment such as transportation, lodging,
specialized nutritional supplements, access to dietitian, and dental needs.
The foundation also supports healthy cancer survivorship programs such
as THRIVE365, a focused wellness program for cancer survivors in
Acadiana who have completed treatment. THRIVE365 involves area
personal trainers for exercise, registered dietician consultations, and
access to a licensed social worker for mental wellness. THRIVE365 is a
free program focusing to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease and to
lower the risk of the recurrence of cancer or new cancer diagnosis.
