Southern Screen Festival Takes Place November 16-19 in Downtown Lafayette

Lafayette, LA – Southern Screen Festival’s 2017 dates will be November 16-19 in Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. In the spirit of keeping things creative, Southern Screen is going off script and embracing our Seven Year Itch! For the past six years we have focused mainly on film, but in 2017 we are opening our eyes and ears to new (and old) mediums of storytelling. In November, the festival will present four days of film screenings, live music, screenwriting, live podcast, workshops, parties and more for every unique individual to enjoy. Southern Screen moves beyond traditional film and music festivals, and works to expose the community to the widespread possibilities of storytelling. And we are doing it all in the heart of Cajun Country!

We are thrilled to announce Special Guest, Eamonn Bowles, President of Magnolia Pictures. Magnolia Pictures is an American film distributor, specializing in both foreign and independent films. More special guests will be announced soon.

Past guests attending the festival have included Sony Classics Pictures Senior Executive Vice President Dylan Leiner;SVP/Director of Music for Grey Group Josh Robiniwitz; Sales Agent & Distribution Mark Horowitz; TLC Network Development's Rachael Graeff; TV Producer John Mabry (Blue Bloods, How I Met Your Mother); and many more!

Southern Screen Festival Passes are on sale now for $50 to the first 50 people, then the cost of passes will increase. For more information about Southern Screen or details about Festival Passes, visit SoutherScreen.org
