Project Front Yard and Krewe of Rio Call for Volunteers! A Partnership for a Greener Mardi Gras.

Each year, local Mardi Gras krewes work tirelessly to present the most impressive costumes, biggest floats, and best throws for the Carnival season. With more than a dozen krewes in Lafayette, the revelry increases with each parade. This year, Project Front Yard (PFY) and the Krewe of Rio are collaborating to set the standard in a new category: greenest parade!

LWV of Louisiana adopts charter school polic

At its state convention in January 2019, The League of Women Voters of Louisiana voted to adopt a set of policies on charter schools in Louisiana. (attached) The Louisiana League is one of only eight Leagues nationwide to adopt a comprehensive policy on charter schools.
