AOC is Participating in #Giving Tuesday

We have some exciting news! In honor of #GivingTuesday, Facebook is partnering with PayPal to match donations, up to $7 million to U.S. nonprofits on Facebook. 

How can you help?

As a supporter of AOC Community Media, we need your help. On Tuesday, November 27, visit our Facebook page and make a contribution of any size to AOC Community Media by clicking on the link under our cover photo. Then, share it with your friends on your Facebook page so your donation can be matched! 

Is AOC Community Media a Non-Profit Organization?

Yes! We are governed by a Board of Directors and we rely on donations from the community to sustain our programs, such as media literacy, MUSE and much more! 

By keeping these local programs available, you’ll also be contributing to an informed community, one that encourages engagement and community dialog. You’ll also be supporting free speech and the free exchange of ideas.

What is #Giving Tuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
