GREATER LAFAYETTE LITTLE LEAGUE

Special walk-up registration this weekend

 Lafayette, LA – The newly formed Greater Lafayette Little League wants to sign up as many baseball and softball players as possible and is holding a special walk-up registration this weekend on Saturday, March 20.

 The Lafayette Consolidated Government Parks and Recreation Department invites families to enjoy hot dogs, chips, and drinks while signing up for the world’s largest organized youth sports program. Lafayette police officers and firefighters will be on hand to help with registration.

 The Greater Lafayette Little League encompasses the following areas:

  • West to Acadia Parish, including Crowley, Rayne and surrounding areas

  • North to St. Landry Parish, including Opelousas, Sunset, Grand Coteau, Arnaudville and surrounding areas

  • East to St. Martin Parish, including Breaux Bridge, Henderson, Cecilia and surrounding areas

 Boys and girls ages 4-18 are eligible to play. Deadline to register is March 27. The season runs from April 15-May 27.
