Early Head Start Hosts End of Year Transition Event for its Children

LAFAYETTE, LA: Early Head Start is hosting its End of Year Transition Event on Friday, July 30 from 10-11:30 AM at their Abbeville Center, and Lafayette Center. This is an annual activity which recognizes children who will successfully transition to Head Start. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, we will have a drive-by, parade style event. 

What: Early Head Start is hosting its End of Year Transition Event on Friday, July 30 from 10-11 AM at their Abbeville Center, and Lafayette Center. This is an annual activity which recognizes children who will successfully transition to Head Start. One of our overall goals for EHS is to help more children successfully transition to the next school setting and be ready to learn. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, we will have a drive-by, parade style event.  

 When: Friday, July 30 from 10-11:30 AM.  

 Where: The Abbeville Center located at 802 S. Valerie Street, Abbeville, LA. The Lafayette Center will start at the United Way of Acadiana office, 215 E. Pinhook Rd, and will be celebrated at the center, 1515 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, in parade fashion due to COVID protocols. 

 Who: Early Head Start 

 Why: To recognize children who will transition to Head Start.
